MAPLE SYRUP (ERSATZ) | |
2 c. water 4 c. dark brown sugar, packed 2 tsp. maple extract Bring water to boil in a glass or enamel pot. Completely dissolve brown sugar in the water. Remove from heat and stir in the extract. Pour into sterilized jar and let stand at room temperature for 24 hours. Will last in refrigerator up to 6 months. |
