MAPLE SYRUP 
1 1/4 c. cold water
1 tbsp. cornstarch
Artificial liquid sweetener to equal 1 c. sugar
1 tsp. maple flavoring
1/8 tsp. salt

Combine ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Serve hot over pancakes or waffles. Yields 1 1/2 cups.
