MICROWAVE HOT BEAN SALAD 
4 strips of bacon
1/2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2/3 c. vinegar
1 can cut green beans, drained
1 can yellow cut wax beans, drained
1 can kidney beans, drained
1 onion, sliced

Using scissors, snip bacon into small pieces. In a 2 quart casserole microwave on high 3 to 4 minutes, stirring after 2 minutes. With slotted spoon remove to paper towels to drain. Add to the bacon drippings in casserole, the sugar and cornstarch, blend well. Stir in salt, pepper and vinegar. Microwave on high 4 to 5 minutes until thick. Add drained green beans and onion slices to the sauce stirring well. Microwave on high for 6 minutes. Remove and let stand 10 minutes to blend flavors. Sprinkle with cooked bacon pieces and serve.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
