1/2 c. sugar
8 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. milk

Boil above all together about 15 minutes. Cool, add 1 teaspoon vanilla.

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 c. milk
2 c. flour, sifted
1 tsp. baking powder

Cream sugar and butter. Add beaten eggs and milk, then add flour and baking powder. Add chocolate mixture. Mix together, then add 1/2 teaspoon baking soda to 3 tablespoons of hot water. Bake at 350 degrees about 20 minutes.
