HAMBURGER PIE 
1 1/4 lb. ground beef
1/3 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. chopped green pepper
8 oz. tomato sauce
1/4 to 1/2 c. mushrooms (optional)
1/4 to 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. garlic salt
1 can crescent dinner rolls
1 egg, slightly beaten
2 c. shredded Monterey Jack or cheddar cheese

Brown in large frying pan ground beef, onion and bell pepper. Drain fat. Stir in tomato sauce, garlic salt and salt; simmer. Prepare crust; press dough into 9 inch ungreased pie plate (over bottom and up sides to form crust. Combine egg and one cup cheese. Spread over crust; spoon hot meat mixture into crust. Sprinkle with remaining cheese and bake at 375 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Makes enough for 4 to 5 people.
