JOHN'S CHILI | |
3-4 lbs. hamburger-ground beef Spice Classics (Chili Powder) McCormick Chili Powder Mexene Chili Powder seasoning 4 (15 oz.) cans IGA Chili Hot Brown beans 2 (15 oz.) cans IGA Red beans, drained and rinsed 2 med. bell peppers, diced 1 med.-lg. onion, diced 2 (4 oz.) cans of mushrooms (stems and pieces), drained and diced 2 lg. cans stewed tomatoes, cut up 1 qt. tomato juice Separate hamburger into 2 batches. Add 1/8 teaspoon of each chili powder to each batch and fry in covered skillet. Drain. Combine everything in a big pot. Add 2/3 teaspoon of each chili powder to combine mix. Cook on moderate to low heat, stir frequently to prevent scorching. Makes approximately 2 gallons HOT CHILI. Add 1 cup hot peppers or to taste. |
