OLD FASHIONED GINGERBREAD | |
2 1/2 c. flour 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. cloves 1 c. boiling water 1 c. molasses 1/2 c. butter or shortening 1/2 c. sugar 1 egg, beaten Sift dry ingredients. Cream butter and sugar, add egg and molasses. Add dry ingredients. Mix well. Add boiling water and mix until smooth. Turn into well greased pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes or until done. |
