CARAMEL DUMPLINGS 
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. cold water
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. cream
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. flour
Pinch of salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Heat brown sugar, cold water and butter together in an 8 x 8 inch pan until the butter melts. Mix sugar, cream, baking powder, flour, salt and vanilla. Drop in spoon size amounts into hot mixture in pan. Bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Serve warm with whipped cream. Can double recipe and put in 9 x 13 inch pan.
