SOUR CREME COFFEE CAKE | |
3 c. self-rising flour 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1 1/2 c. sugar 2/3 c. butter 3 eggs 1 1/2 c. sour cream 2 tsp. vanilla 1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts Mix dry ingredients together into large bowl. Add butter. Stir 3 minutes on low speed. Reserve 1 1/2 cups of mixture for topping. Blend in eggs, sour cream, and vanilla. Add chopped nuts and mix well. Pour batter into 2 buttered 8 x 8 x 2 inch pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until cake tester comes out clean. Put reserved topping on before you bake. |
