ORANGE DROP COOKIES 
Heat oven to 400 degrees.

3/4 c. sugar
2/3 c. butter
2 tbsp. grated orange peel
1/2 c. orange juice
1 egg
2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Mix sugar, butter, orange peel, orange juice, and egg. Stir in remaining ingredients.

Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto greased cookie sheet. Bake until edges are light brown, 8 or 9 minutes. Cool. Frost if desired with orange frosting.

ORANGE FROSTING:

Mix 2 cups powdered sugar and 2 tablespoons softened butter. Beat in 1 tablespoon orange peel and about 2 tablespoons orange juice.
