1 c. flour
1/2 c. salt
1 tbsp. powdered alum
1 scant c. boiling water
1 tbsp. salad oil
Food coloring, if desired

Mix dry ingredients well. Add boiling water and stir until it forms a ball. Add salad oil and knead. Divide into parts, and food coloring, if desired, and work in. This will keep for months in the plastic bag in refrigerator. Articles made will dry thoroughly in several days.
