CREAM OF TOMATO SOUP 
2 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. onion, chopped
3 tbsp. flour
2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
Dash garlic salt or powder
Dash basil
Dash oregano
Dash thyme
2 c. tomato juice or 2 c. pureed canned tomatoes
2 c. cold milk

Saute butter and onion. Blend in flour, sugar, salt, pepper, garlic, basil, oregano and thyme. Remove from heat. Gradually stir in tomato juice or pureed canned tomatoes. Bring to boil, stirring constantly. Boil 1 minute. Stir hot tomato mixture into cold milk. Heat almost to boiling. Serve.
