RAISIN MERINGUE PIE 
1 1/2 c. raisins
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
3 tbsp. sifted all-purpose flour
1 1/2 c. cream
4 egg yolks, well beaten
1 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
1 baked o or 10-inch pie shell

Cook raisins in small amount of water until tender, or about 3 minutes. Drain. Mix sugar, salt, spices and flour together. Add cream and raisins. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens.

Gradually stir in egg yolks. Cook 2-3 minutes longer, stirring constantly. Add lemon juice; mix thoroughly. Cool. Pour into pie shell. Spread with meringue and bake in moderate oven (350 degrees) about 10 minutes or until browned.
