1 1/2 c. flour 2 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 c. milk 1 egg 1/3 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 2 tbsp. oil 1/2 tsp. vanilla In large frying pan, heat 2 to 3 inches of oil to 375 degrees. In large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon, sugar, salt, and nutmeg. Then stir in milk, oil, egg, and vanilla just until dry ingredients are moistened. Drop by teaspoonfuls into hot oil. Fry on each side until deep golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Can be eaten plain or mix 1/2 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon; roll warm balls in sugar-cinnamon mixture. |
