STRING BEAN SALAD 
1 lb. string beans
1 clove garlic
2 qt. water
4 tbsp. oil
2 tbsp. vinegar
Salt and pepper to taste

Cut tops off beans; wash thoroughly. Boil in rapid boiling water about 20 minutes or until tender. Drain, cut in half and place in salad bowl. Add oil, vinegar, garlic, salt and pepper and mix.
