TERIYAKI MARINADE 
1 1/2 lbs. round or sirloin steak
1 tsp. ground ginger or 1 tsp. grated fresh ginger
1 clove garlic, mashed
2 tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 c. soy sauce
Black pepper to taste

Meat can be cut in 1 inch cubes or left in single-serving pieces. Place meat in deep non-metal bowl. Combine remaining ingredients in large measuring cup; pour over meat and stir to coat well. Allow meat to marinade in refrigerator for 24 to 48 hours, turning occasionally. Place marinated meat on grill about 4 inches from hot coals. Cubed meat can be put on skewers before grilling. Baste frequently with reserved marinade.
