CARAMEL POPCORN 
8 qts. popcorn

Put popcorn in big roasting pan to put sauce over. Have this ready to add to sauce: 1/2 tsp. baking soda Pinch cream of tartar

CARAMEL SAUCE:

2 sticks butter
2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. clear Karo syrup

Stir and bring to boil; boil for 5 minutes on low heat; after boiling for 5 minutes, add the salt, soda and tart to sauce and stir until foamy, about 2 to 3 minutes. Pour sauce over popcorn and mix until blended; bake in oven at 200 degrees for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Pour on wax paper and cool; break apart. Put in Tupperware, or ziplock freezer bags to keep fresh.
