QUICK BREAD & BUTTER PICKLES 
4 qts. sliced cucumbers (thin)
4 lg. onions, sliced thin
3 c. sugar
4 tsp. salt
4 tsp. dry mustard
2 tsp. turmeric
3 c. white vinegar
4 tsp. mustard seed

Wash cucumbers, slice thin. Add sliced thin onions. Add all dry ingredients plus vinegar. Stir and mix all ingredients and stir often. Cook mixture until it comes to a boil, then cook slowly for 15 to 20 minutes more. Fill hot, sterilized canning jars immediately. Yield: 8 pints.
