CHILI CON CARNE 
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
3 med. chopped onions
1 1/2 minced garlic cloves
1 minced green pepper
3 tbsp. fat
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 tbsp. chili powder
1 (1 lb. 14 oz.) can tomatoes
1 (1 lb.) can kidney beans

Cook onions, garlic and green pepper in fat about 5 minutes. Remove onions, garlic and green pepper; set aside. Add meat and stir over low heat until well browned. Add salt, pepper and chili powder. Return onions, garlic and green pepper. Add tomatoes and kidney beans. Cover and simmer gently about 30 minutes. Serves 6.
