CHOCOLATE SHEET CAKE 
Cake:

2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 stick butter
1 c. water
1/2 c. Crisco
3 1/2 tbsp. cocoa
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Icing:

1 stick butter
1 box powdered sugar
3 1/2 tbsp. cocoa
little milk
chopped pecans (optional)

Cake: Combine flour and sugar. Heat to boiling water, Crisco, butter and cocoa. Mix boiling ingredients with flour and sugar. Add eggs, soda and vanilla; beat.

Bake in greased sheet pan, 17 1/2 x 11 1/2 x 1-inch at 350°F for about 10 minutes. Use toothpick to test. Icing: Heat 1 stick butter, cocoa and sifted powdered sugar. Stir and add enough milk to thin enough to spread. Add pecans, then frost cake.
