CHOCOLATE SHEET CAKE 
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
2 sticks butter
1/2 c. shortening or oil
8 tsp. cocoa
1 c. water
1 c. buttermilk
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. vanilla
6 tsp. milk
1 box powdered sugar
2/3 c. pecans

Sift together flour and sugar. Mix and boil 1 stick butter, shortening, 4 teaspoons cocoa and water, then add buttermilk, eggs, soda and vanilla. Pour over dry ingredients and mix well.

Bake in an 11 x 17 pan at 375°F for 15 minutes.

Prepare frosting 5 minutes before cake is done; boil and melt butter, milk, cocoa and vanilla. Stir until smooth; remove from heat and stir in powdered sugar and pecans. Spread on cake while hot.
