RICE DRESSING 
2 lb. hamburger
1 lb. sausage (hot)
1 pkg. onion soup mix
3 c. uncooked rice
Chopped parsley
1 chopped onion (may substitute green onion including blades - or half reg. onion, half green onion, as desired)
1 c. chopped bell pepper (may leave out or cut down amt. as desired)
1 c. chopped celery (may leave out or cut down amt. as desired)

Cook hamburger and sausage until grey in color - add onion, bell pepper, onion soup mix and celery. Cook slowly and covered until onion, etc. is tender.

Cook rice, adding salt to taste. Add meat mixture to rice. Top with chopped parsley (optional). May be prepared ahead of time and then warmed in oven - or meat mixture may be prepared ahead of time and even put in freezer and then heated and added to rice at a later time. Serves about 20 depending on what else you are serving.
