2 (8 oz.) pkgs. soft cream cheese
6 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. vanilla

Mix above ingredients together and place in small dish. Spread 1 (8 ounce) jar of caramel or butterscotch topping over cheese and sprinkle with chopped nuts. Put sliced apples in dish around the dip.
