CARAMEL DIP FOR APPLES 
1 lb. caramels
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1/4 lb. butter

Melt (either in the microwave or on the stove) and stir together. This makes a dip that stays soft even at room temperature. More caramels may be added to make a stiffer dip, but we find it perfect this way. Serve with slices of apples, or whatever for dipping.

(My daughter experimented and discovered that using the fudgy caramels makes a great dip for pretzels. Yum!)

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
