AUTUMN SOUP 
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef (lean)
2 tbsp. butter or Crisco
1 c. chopped onion
3 c. hot water
1 c. each: carrots, celery and 4 med. size potatoes
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. Bouquet sauce
1 bay leaf
2 cans stewed tomatoes

Brown beef in hot fat. Add onions. Cook 5 minutes more. Add water, carrots, celery, potatoes and seasonings. Mix thoroughly and bring to a boil. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
