1 c. soft shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 to 3 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. chopped fine filbert nuts

Stir shortening, sugars and eggs together then add flour and dry ingredients. Press into long smooth roll about 2 1/2 inches thick in diameter. Wrap in wax paper. Chill until stiff. Then cut with sharp knife 1/8 inch thick. Bake 400 degrees for 6 to 8 minutes.
