ENGLISH PLUM PUDDING 
1 c. sugar
1 c. flour
1 c. chopped suet (beef leaf suet)
1 1/2 c. raisins
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
Eggs, beaten

Mix dry ingredients well. Beat 6 eggs and mix with above until mixture is all moist. If too dry, add more beaten eggs. Batter should be thicker than cake mix. Dampen square cloth with warm water and flour lightly. Add batter and tie up like a bag. Drop in boiling water and boil 3 hours, turning every 1/2 hour. Turn on plate. Serve hot with sauce.

HARD SAUCE:

1 c. sugar
3 heaping tbsp. flour
Bit of salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 stick butter, cut up
2 c. boiling water

Mix dry ingredients and pour boiling water over. Cook until thick.
