DOUBLE QUICK COFFEE BREAD 
3/4 c. warm water
1 pkg. active dry yeast
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 1/4 c. flour
1 egg
1/4 c. shortening or butter

In mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Add sugar, salt and half of flour. Beat thoroughly for 2 minutes. Then add egg and shortening. Beat in rest of flour gradually until smooth. Drop by spoonfuls over brown sugar mixture.

BROWN SUGAR MIXTURE:

1/3 c. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tbsp. corn syrup

Melt above mixture in a 9 inch square or round pan. Decorate with pecans. Let cool to warm and spoon dough over this mixture. When baked, turn out of pan immediately to avoid sticking.
