QUICK FRENCH BREAD STICKS 
1 (16 oz.) loaf French bread
1 c. butter, melted
Garlic powder (optional)

Slice loaf crosswise into 3 equal sections. Cut each section lengthwise into 12 sticks about 1 1/2 inches thick. Dip bread sticks in butter to coat. Arrange on baking sheets. Sprinkle with garlic powder, if desired. Broil 6 inches from heating element 8 minutes or until golden brown, turning often. Serve warm. Yield: 3 dozen.
