DEEP DISH CRAB IMPERIAL | |
2 lbs. backfin crabmeat or Sea Legs Supreme 2 tbsp. butter, melted 2 tbsp. flour 2 c. half and half cream 1 1/2 tbsp. sherry 1/4 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 1 tbsp. Old Bay seasoning Paprika Place crab meat in 2 quart baking dish. Melt butter and stir in flour. Slowly add half and half and cook over medium heat until thickened and bubbly, stirring occasionally with a wire whisk. Add sherry, salt, pepper and Old Bay. Mix well. Remove from heat and pour over crab. Mix gently. Sprinkle top with paprika. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes until browned and bubbly. Serves 6. |
