SQUASH CASSEROLE 
1 lb. yellow crookneck squash
1/4 c. butter
1 tsp. sugar
1 egg
1/2 c. mayonnaise
1/4 c. chopped pecans
Salt
Pepper
1/2 c. grated sharp cheddar cheese
Bread crumbs or saltines

Cook squash until tender. Drain. Add butter, mash. Mix in all but crumbs with squash. Pour into casserole. Top with crumbs. Dot with butter. Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until brown at 350 degrees.
