BUTTERSCOTCH PIE 
2 egg yolks
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
4 1/2 tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. milk
4 1/2 tbsp. water
4 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Put ingredients in saucepan in order named. A double boiler might be used if heat cannot be controlled to prevent sticking or scorching. Stir over meat until it comes to the boiling point and thickens. Pour into baked 9" pastry shell. Cool, top with meringue or Cool Whip.
