GRANDMA'S EGGLESS, MILKLESS CAKE 
1 c. raisins
1 c. water
1 c. sugar
1/3 c. vegetable oil
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
2 c. flour
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tbsp. water
3/4 tsp. baking soda

In saucepan, stir raisins, water, sugar, oil, cinnamon and spice. Boil 3 minutes. Take off stove and let cool.

Then add flour, nuts, salt and baking powder. Stir until all mixed. Take 1 tablespoon water in a cup and stir in 3/4 teaspoon baking soda until dissolved. Add to the mixture.

Grease and flour oblong cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 40 minutes.

GLAZE:

1/2 c. sugar
1 rounded tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. boiling water

Boil 5 minutes, then add 2 tablespoons butter and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Cook 5 minutes. Pour over cake before you're ready to eat.
