DILL PICKLES | |
30 to 35 cucumbers (3 to 4 inch long) 3 c. vinegar 3 c. water 6 tbsp. salt Fresh or dried dill Alum Mustard seed Wash cucumbers. Make brine of the vinegar, water and salt. Bring to boil. Pack cucumbers in sterilized quart jars. Place fresh head dill or 1 teaspoon dried dill seed in each jar. 1 pinch alum size of a small grape in jars and mustard seed. Pour hot brine in jars and seal. |
