EASY PICKLED BEETS 
3 can sliced beets

1 c. sugar
1 stick cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp. allspice
1 3/4 c. vinegar
3/4 c. water

Add sugar and spices to vinegar and water. Simmer 15 minutes. Open cans of beets and drain. Add beets to syrup and stir mixing well. Spoon beets into jar and cover with syrup. Refrigerate. Makes 1 1/2 quarts.
