CREAM OF BROCCOLI SOUP 
1 bunch fresh broccoli, chopped
1 c. chopped ham
2 1/2 c. water
1 (10 oz.) can chicken broth
1 med. onion, chopped
2 med. potatoes, chopped
4 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. thyme
1 tsp. basil
1 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
Parsley for garnish

Combine all ingredients, except milk and parsley, in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 30 to 40 minutes or until broccoli is tender. In several batches, blend mixture in blender until smooth. Return to pot and add milk. Simmer 15 to 20 minutes. Serve garnished with parsley.
