GRANDMA'S CORN BREAD 
1 tsp. salt
1 egg
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/4 c. finely ground corn meal

Mix in a bowl the salt, egg, baking powder and baking soda. Add the corn meal and beat at least 60 times. Pour into well greased preheated skillet.

Bake 15 minutes in 450°F oven. Place under broiler for 2 to 3 minutes to brown top.
