1 c. Crisco
1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 1/2 c. flour
3/4 tsp. cream of tartar
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt

Beat Crisco and sugars in mixer until light. Add eggs and vanilla and beat until fluffy. Add sifted flour, salt, cream of tartar, and soda; mix well.

Roll into balls the size of walnuts and place on greased cookie sheet. Press twice with glass dipped in sugar. Bake at 350-375 degrees 10-12 minutes.
