SWEDISH RYE BREAD 
1 (6 oz.) can evaporated milk
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. shortening
3 1/2 c. white flour
1 pkg. dry yeast
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. molasses
2 c. rye flour

Add warm water to milk to make 2 cups. Set aside. Dissolve yeast into 1/4 cup warm water. Mix all the ingredients together with milk and yeast and knead on lightly floured board until smooth. Put in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until double. Shape into 2 loaves. Put into 2 greased pans. Let rise until double in bulk. Bake at 375 degrees for 35 minutes.
