GERMAN CHOCOLATE CAKE | |
1 box Pillsbury Plus German chocolate cake mix Mix according to package instructions except substitute buttermilk for the water called for in the recipe. (Using buttermilk gives the cake a homemade taste.) Divide batter into 4 round cake pans. Bake at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes. Remove from pans and cool on racks. ICING: 2 2/3 c. buttermilk 1 2/3 c. sugar 8 egg yolks, beaten 1 1/3 c. cream cheese 3 tsp. vanilla extract 2 2/3 c. flaked coconut 2 2/3 c. chopped pecans |
