BEST COOKIES EVER 
1/2 lb. (2 sticks butter), softened
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. all-purpose flour
2 1/2 c. plain uncooked oatmeal
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
1 (8 oz.) Hershey bar, grated
1 c. nuts, chopped

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cream together the butter, and sugars in a large bowl. Mix in the eggs and vanilla. Add the flour, oatmeal, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Add the remaining ingredients and mix. Roll dough into a small ball no larger than a ping pong ball. Place about 2 inches apart on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake for about 6 or 7 minutes at most to keep them moist and chewey.
