6 eggs 1 tsp. salt 1 tbsp. dry mustard 2 c. milk 3 tbsp. butter, melted 4 slices bread, cubed, crust removed 3/4 lb. Velveeta cheese, cubed 1 (4 oz.) jar mushrooms, drained 1 lb. cooked sausage, ham, bacon, shrimp, or crab 1/4 c. green pepper & onion, chopped (optional) Mix the first five ingredients in the blender. Layer the remaining ingredients in a 9 x 10 inch glass baking dish. Pour blended mixture over top. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes and let rest 10 minutes before serving. (To double, use 8 slices of bread, 8 eggs and 2 3/4 cups milk.) |
