1/2 c. milk 3 tbsp. cooking oil 1/4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce Dash bottled hot pepper sauce 1 c. cornmeal 1 c. all-purpose flour 3/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. baking soda Salt Combine milk, oil, Worcestershire sauce and hot pepper sauce. In mixing bowl, thoroughly stir together cornmeal, flour the 3/4 teaspoon salt and soda. Add milk mixture; stir until dough forms a ball. Knead on lightly floured surface 5 minutes. Divide dough in half; place on greased baking sheets. Roll each half to a 12" square. Sprinkle with salt. Cut into 1" squares or triangles. Bake in 350 degree oven until golden brown, 15 minutes. (Edges will be more brown than center.) Cool slightly before removing from baking sheet. Store in loosely covered container. Makes 10 dozen crackers. |
