EGGLESS, BUTTERLESS, MILKLESS
CAKE
 
2 c. raisins
2 c. water
2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. shortening
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cloves

Boil first four ingredients for 5 minutes. Cool until COLD.

Add to first four the remaining ingredients.

Bake in moderate oven in 9 x 13 pan.

We sprinkle top with sugar before baking and don't frost. Makes moist cake.
