EGGLESS, BUTTERLESS, MILKLESS
CAKE
 
2 c. sugar
2 c. raisins
2 c. hot water
1 c. lard
2 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves, ground
Pinch of salt
3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
Nuts, if desired

Put in skillet and let simmer 5 minutes. Cool and add flour and soda (mixed together). Add nuts, if desired. Probably 350 degrees until lightly brown on top.
