SPRITZ BUTTER COOKIES 
1 c. butter
2/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. almond extract
1 egg
1/8 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. flour

Cream butter and sugar; add almond extract and egg. Mix thoroughly. Add dry ingredients, sifted together. Pack dough in cookie press. Press shapes on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in a 400 degree oven for 6 to 8 minutes.

VARIATIONS:

1. Add food coloring to dough before placing in cookie press.

2. Melt 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate and add to mixture with egg and extract before dry ingredients.
