HOT SPICED WINE 
1 qt. dry wine (Chablis or Rose)
2 c. water
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. butter
10 whole cloves
10 whole allspice
2 cinnamon sticks
1/2 lemon (1/8 inch slices)

In 3 quart saucepan combine wine, water, sugar and butter. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Add cloves, allspice, cinnamon sticks and lemon. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally until heated through, about 10-15 minutes. Serve piping hot.
