HOT SPICED WINE 
1 qt. water
2 c. sugar
12 whole cloves
4 sticks cinnamon
6 whole allspice
1/2 tsp. powdered ginger
2 c. orange juice
1/2 c. lemon juice
1 qt. dry red wine

Combine water, sugar, spices in large saucepan. Bring to boil, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Simmer 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand 1 hour at least. Strain out spices. Add orange juice, lemon juice and wine. Heat gently (do not boil again). Serve in glass mugs.
