WASSAIL (Hot Wine Punch) | |
2 (6 oz.) cans frozen orange juice 1 (6 oz.) can lemonade 1/4 lb. white raisins 2 1/2 tsp. cloves (whole) 5 sticks cinnamon 2 qts. apple juice 1 1/4 lbs. sugar 5 c. water 2 qts. burgundy wine Put into 1 (6 quart) kettle or divide into 2 kettles. Put all but spices and wine in kettle. Add spices tied in cheesecloth. Simmer 1/2 hour. Let stand with spices in it at least 1 hour. Remove spices, then add wine and heat. |
