2 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 c. cold water 1 egg 6 tbsp. melted butter 2 tbsp. sugar Sift dry ingredients. Add water, egg, and melted butter. Place dough under a warm bowl and put into the refrigerator overnight or for several hours. Remove from refrigerator - let set until room temperature. Use a large floured cloth and put dough on it to stretch thin. Sprinkle with apple filling and dot with butter. Roll up as for jelly roll. Arrange on a greased pan, 15 x 18 inches. Bake about 1 hour at 350 degrees. While baking, brush often with 1 cup milk. FILLING: 2 qts. apples 1 c. sugar 2 tsp. cinnamon 1 1/2 c. dry cookie crumbs and bread crumbs 1/2 c. coconut 1/2 c. raisins |
